An Inglorious End
So we had just finished up putting away the leftovers from the "Winter...er Spring of our Discontent(tm) Garage Sale*" when the Federal Way Police called "We found your car." Actually a more accurate way of putting it would be "After 3 weeks of your car sitting in the parking lot of a boarded up casino/cardroom and us only running the license plates that were attached that came back as 'not stolen,' we finally got out of the patrol car and ran the VIN and tada! stolen car."
When we arrived the car was a mess, trash of all sorts was just strewn everywhere, there were diapers and a baby bottle in the trunk, the speakers were ripped out, the glove box was broken off, front window had a big spider's web from where they hit it with a rock, just a mess. The cop said that he had already pulled needles out of it. Engine started up fine of course...but they stripped the clutch so it wouldn't go into gear. Overall it was unsalvageable. And if they shot up meth in there then it would probably be considered hazardous.
At lunch today I drove down and signed over the title to Snhoj's Hauling or something. Sayonara Camry! I would have like to give a nice Viking funeral with a bonfire and Siegfried's Funeral March and all that (and Blood-letter would be there too!) but I would be in more trouble then whomever stole the car.
*It snowed! It snowed on the 19th and the 20th! What crap!

maybe it's just as well they didn't get stopped with your car. It would be sad for someone under the age of two to have a "riding in a stolen car" on his/her record.
Bravo on the shout out to snhoj's hauling. For a few dollars at Arrow Electronics you can get yourself a switch so that you can turn on and off the electric fuel pump. So the next time somebody steals your car they abandon it 3 blocks from the house when it uses up what ever gas is left in the line. Happy BEarthday.
